Google Authenticator resource

Move Google Authenticator Codes to Apple Passwords

This browser tool reads Google Authenticator export QR screenshots and shows the setup keys that Apple Passwords can use for one-time verification codes.

The decision that matters

Choose the right export before you start

Google Authenticator can create one or more export QR codes. Apple Passwords needs a setup key for each account, so this tool decodes the QR screenshots in the browser and keeps the handoff visible.

Current workflow

How to move the codes safely

  1. Open Google Authenticator on the old device and choose Menu, Transfer accounts, then Export accounts.

  2. Select the accounts, tap Next, and save a screenshot of each QR code without sending it to a cloud service.

  3. Open the browser tool, choose all QR screenshots, and wait for the local conversion to finish.

  4. Open the matching account in Apple Passwords, choose Edit and Set Up Code, then enter the copied setup key.

What this workflow covers

Useful output and next steps

  • The Google Authenticator menu path for a manual account export

Objections and limits

What this resource does not promise

  • Google Authenticator may create more than one QR code when you export several accounts.
  • The tool does not connect to Google Authenticator or Apple Passwords and does not import accounts automatically.
  • Anyone who gets a setup key can generate the account's verification codes.

Questions before you export

Frequently asked questions

Does Google Authenticator create a downloadable export file?

The manual export flow creates QR code screens. Save a screenshot of each QR code, then choose those image files in the browser tool.

Can I upload more than one QR screenshot?

Yes. Choose all export QR screenshots at one time. The tool merges the decoded accounts and removes exact duplicates.

Does this page send my QR codes to a server?

No. The conversion runs in the browser. The page does not upload the selected images or decoded setup keys.
